An Osteopathic Approach to Pregnancy

An Osteopathic Approach to Pregnancy is a practical, clinically oriented two-day program exploring osteopathic principles in the care of women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy, in preparation for birth, and during the early postnatal period.

The course combines focused introductory lectures with tutored practical sessions, allowing participants to develop confidence and skill in assessment and treatment.

Topics include:
• Pre-conception care
• Structural and physiological changes across each trimester
• Osteopathic preparation for birth
• Supporting optimal foetal positioning
• Management of common musculoskeletal complaints
• Gastrointestinal, vascular & lymphatic considerations
• Approaches to maternal breast health
• Early postnatal care for the mother
• Red flags and referral considerations

Treatment approaches covered include Balanced Ligamentous Tension, Myofascial Release, and Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.

Designed for practitioners of all experience levels, this course offers clinically grounded skills to support women safely and effectively through one of life’s most significant transitions.
